The much delayed Eastbourne Finals were held at Uckfield Home Guard Rifle Club on Saturday 09 October 2021 with several of our members qualifying.
Congratulations go to the following:

First post Covid open shoot! As expected, entry was limited but enthusiastic. Finally ending up with 14 competitors of which one had to cancel as he'd been called up to shoot for his school.
The weather was ideal all weekend so new excuses had to be used. The best we heard was that it was because of the new duckboards.!
We received an email from Brian Woodhall at NSRA saying that he'd acquired some items from the estate of one of our founder members, John Powell. Would we like them?
They consisted of:
Covid19
Like many other clubs, when Lockdown came in March 2020 East Grinstead Target Shooting Club shut up shop and hunkered down for a few months to wait for the Covid 19 virus to pass. As we now know, this was a little optimistic!
To cope with operating under Covid 19 conditions various changes were made. These consisted of:
On the 17th February 1987 the club welcomed Malcolm and Sarah Cooper plus a crew of 10 from Granada TV for a days filming in the club house. Club members Keith Worsfold, David Britchford, and Mike Kettle were in attendance to provide any assistance required.

Blustery conditions on Saturday and calmer conditions on Sunday meant that the prize winners were biased towards those that shot on Sunday.

For those "in the know" the event is referred to as the Dewar Trials. For the rest of us here's a little more information.
David White and Andy Meyers travelled to Appleton Range on Saturday 15th June 2019 to compete in the International Dewar Match GB Team Trial.
The GB Dewar Postal Competition is a match against the USA and Commonwealth countries such as Australia, South Africa and New Zealand.
