Trevor Craig Wilde. Went very well. David White won , Laura 2nd, T.Wilde 3rd. We had Andys Tent so all dry.

Just a reminder that coaching facilities will be reduced during the holiday period. Please bear with us if you need looking after.

Especially 15-25 August (NSRA National Meeting @ Bisley). Good luck to Malcolm Brain, Andy Meyers, Jim Howard, David White, and Laura Meyers who are the ones I know are going.

Coaching - 1st Oct 2016

The first of the winter coaching sessions went ahead on Saturday afternoon with several issues being identified for members to practice in the coming weeks. As you can see from the list even the club coaches don't escape!

Candidates - 1st October: S Wilde, T Wilde, M Kettle, S Kettle, P Phillips.

This year the match attracted 48 entries, including nine members of the Kenyan Rifle Team who were with us on Friday for a smallbore training session, having previously competed at Bisley in fullbore competitions, and stayed for the weekend to gain competition experience.

NSRA Bisley Meeting 2016

Six East Grinstead members attended the 2016 NSRA Bisley Meeting held between 13th & 24th August.

There were two highlights for the club the first at the beginning of the meeting when Andy Meyers finished 2nd in the NSRA / Eley Postal Final, just one point behind the winner.

Club chairman Graham Rowcoft respresented the club at the East Grinstead carnival at the weekend. It was the first time in 20 years that the event had been run and the club thought we should have a presence.

Club members Andy Meyers and Malcolm Brain shot in the trials today. Andy made the team... Malcolm missed the cut in squad A by a couple of points. Had he been in squad B he would have been ok!

Andy scored 396 in the 100yds - top score! To quote Andy, the less said about the 50s the better... good enough, anyway to put him 2 points inside the cut in squad B.

Congratulations to Andy and commiserations to Malcolm.

Fine sunny weather greeted the 35 competitiors for the Thwaites hosted at EGTSC on Sunday.

Once again the ladies took a clean sweep of class wins - Class A, Linda Smallbone(Eastbourne); Class B, Sara Marshall (Hastings and St Leonards); Class C, Sheena Wilde (East Grinstead TSC); Class D, Elaine Kettle (East Grinstead TSC).
